The 190th Baptist General Association of Virginia Annual Meeting in Fredericksburg is less than a month away. Time is running out to secure group discount rates at area hotels. We would love to see you in next month!
Still undecided about coming? Consider the following 10 reasons to come to the BGAV meeting this year:
- BGAV Governance Committee Recommendation
If you haven’t heard, this is kind of a big deal. Messengers will vote on a recommendation offered by the Governance Committee that would significantly alter how the Baptist General Association of Virginia will be governed. The Religious Herald has more details.
- New BGAV/VBMB Treasurer
Rev. David Washburn, pastor of First Baptist Church, Waynesboro, has been nominated to succeed Eddie Stratton as Treasurer. Messengers will vote on the nomination. Learn more about David via the Religious Herald.
- Outgoing BGAV/VBMB Treasurer
Eddie Stratton has faithfully served Virginia Baptists for 12 years. He has led us in both good times and tough times. Come greet him one last time as our Treasurer and help us say “thank you”. The Religious Herald recently published a great article about Eddie.
- Childcare offered
New for 2013, child care is offered nearby at Salem bap for only $5 per child. That’s right, $5. That includes both days (and food!).
