Young Adults & Collegiate

The Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) engages young adults and college students through two initiatives.

Kairos Initiative

Kairos bannerKairos is an initiative of the Baptist General Association of Virginia to intentionally network local partners to reach young adults throughout the state – on college campuses, in local churches, in church plants – anywhere young adult ministry is happening.

Visit KairosInitiative.org to engage with the Kairos Initiative Team and consider how you can reach young adults in your church’s community.

Baptist Collegiate Ministries

VABCM LogoThe BGAV Collegiate Ministry is the church’s mission on the college campus, building community, making disciples for Christ and developing Christian leaders.

The BGAV Collegiate Ministry represents local churches on mission to students and others affiliated with higher education. Through student programs that exist on many campuses and through state-wide programs like conferences, retreats and summer ministries, we seek to extend God’s kingdom by building communities of faith, proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, nurturing the spiritual life of individuals, and providing opportunities for service to the world.

Visit VABCM.org for more about Baptist Collegiate Ministries and to connect with a ministry on your campus!

Collegiate Missions

The Mission Development Staff works with Congregational Field Staff to offer the BGAV Collegiate Missions Program for college students and college-bound high school seniors.
