Abbie Kramer is a member of Mathews Baptist Church in Hudgins, VA. She is currently pursuing a BS degree from Virginia Tech.
Abbie is one of the 2018-19 recipients of a BGAV college scholarship.
“At the age of 10, I accepted Jesus Christ to be Lord of my life,” Abbie recalled. “I know I can always rely on God.”
“Moving while in high school was the hardest challenge; I left my friends, my school, and my and church. I put my trust in God, knowing that God has a greater plan for my life. I knew that if Mathews was where God wanted our family he would provide for us, and he has.
Abbie has been active in the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) at Virginia Tech since her freshman year. “I love seeing what is God doing through me and the others around me. I love to be around other believers who are in the same stage of life that I am in and growing with them, as we learn more about our great God,” she explained.
“Our Bible study on Thursdays is a great time to share intimately about what is going on in our lives and to encourage each other. On Tuesdays, we worship through music and a message,” she described. “The BCM has been a really great way to get to know other Christians, to grow in my faith, and to learn more about God.”
Once each month, we are featuring a current-year scholarship recipient on our blog to help our readers get to know these promising students. Please pray for them as they study and seek to discern God’s will for their lives.
