The Botetourt View, a publication of the Roanoke Times, recently highlighted Cave Rock Baptist Church’s new picnic pavilion.

From the article:

The pavilion is in memory of Florence Switzer Bowyer and Ernest Bower.

“The church men did the work, and the church women made us food,” said Wes Bower. He and his brother, Lynwood Bowyer, provided the funding for the pavilion in their parent’s memory. Photos of the construction were taken by Corky Crawford.

The Troutville church is celebrating 130 years this year.

We celebrate with the church gathered at Cave Rock and pray for them as they continue to minister to their community.
