Westover Baptist Church receives grant to reduce storm drain runoff

From the Hills & Heights blog, Westover Baptist Church of Richmond is receiving a grant up to $20,000 from the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay to improve their landscaping to better retain water.

Working also in partnership with the Reedy Creek Coalition, the church is also receiving an additional $8,000 from church member and  landscape architect Drew Harrigan as he helps oversee the process.

The press release states that “being a good neighbor is a top priority at Westover Baptist Church, and members of the faith community are excited to be part of the diverse, vibrant neighborhoods in South Richmond.”

Grundy Baptist Church opens and dedicates new building

Grundy Baptist Church opens and dedicates new builiding

Calling it Grundy Baptist 3.0, the church dedicated their new building this past Sunday. Their Facebook page, Grundy Baptist Rising Together Process, features pictures of the opening and dedication. Additionally, you can scroll through albums detailing the progress of the building.
