dannyHenrico, Va. – The Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) welcomes Rev. Danny Quirin as its first Youth Minister in Residence.

In addition to his ministry at Bonsack Baptist Church, Quirin will serve as an ambassador to BGAV churches in youth ministry-related matters; respond to inquiries and requests from BGAV churches and staff related to youth ministry; and coordinate the BGAV annual youth ministry training event, Forum, which is held in May.

“The BGAV is blessed to have someone of Danny Quirin’s experience, passion and calling to work as our Youth Minister in Residence, a new expression of service to our churches,” said Susan McBride, Congregational Field Staff Coordinator. “It is our sincerest hope and prayer that youth ministers and churches will call upon Danny for help with their ministries to youth and their families.”

Quirin has been married to his wife, Debbie, for over 32 years, and they have four children – Rachel, Scott, Derrick and Ben – as well as two grandchildren. He began as Minister to Youth at Bonsack Baptist Church in 1996 after having spent 13 years in the air-conditioning and heating business, and he feels blessed to be working with such a great group of parents and youth. During those rare, free moments in life when he is not busy, he enjoys riding his motorcycle, boating with the family, camping, skiing, and doing just about anything adventurous outdoors.

The BGAV is a cooperative missions and ministry organization that consists of over 1,400 autonomous churches in the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as churches from Seoul, South Korea; Toronto, Ontario; the District of Columbia; and the states of California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia.
