Growth & Venture Funding Resources
These BGAV grants are supported through the generous offerings of churches within the Baptist General Association of Virginia. To maintain integrity and stewardship of these offerings, the BGAV reserves these grants for churches who are, or become cooperating partners of the Baptist General Association of Virginia.
The Timothy Fund
We believe investing in the development of key leaders is an important component for long-term effectiveness in ministry. The Timothy Fund provides financial assistance to key leaders for continuing education, training, and coaching.
The Cornelius Fund
We believe a church’s ability to be a tangible presence in the community is vital to the Kingdom advancement. The Cornelius Fund provides financial assistance to churches creating innovative ministries that spiritually impact the lives of the un-churched, under-churched, or de-churched.
The Barnabas Fund
We believe the Church is the primary means through which the mission of God is being carried out in the world. The Barnabas Fund provides financial assistance to new church starts/multi-sites to: (1) offset costs associated with initial start-up expenses, and (2) ease the initial financial burden associated with church planter/campus pastor compensation. To learn more about the Barnabas Fund, please visit thev3movement.org/grants.

World Hunger Funds
The Virginia Offering for World Hunger was established at the Baptist General Association annual meeting in 1982. Since that time, Virginia Baptists have given tremendous support to this offering, with contributions totaling over three million dollars.
Churches and associations can request funds to support hunger ministries. Visit the World Hunger page for more information.
