Join us at the Gathering of Silence

This Gathering Of Silence is something I look forward to every year.  I follow the rhythm of nature and silence and create space for the Holy Spirit to speak to and restore me.  The beauty of CrossRoads and the company of quiet souls who are seeking God alongside me are the perfect companions for a journey deep into the presence of God.” – Dr. Greg Randall

As expressed by Dr. Greg Randall, Pastor, Clarksville Baptist Church, the Gathering of Silence retreat has been a much needed respite through the years.

Jonathan Waits, Pastor, Central Baptist Church agrees, “I have only been in the state for a few years and only just discovered the Gathering of Silence a couple of years ago, but it has already become a highlight point of my year.  The chance to enjoy the unadulterated beauty of God’s creation combined with the space to hear His voice feeds my spirit like very little else can do.  There are certainly logistical challenges for any pastor to take four whole days not only off, but out of town and out of reach, but the spiritual payoff is well worth the investment.  I look forward to enjoying this time for many years to come.”

The stream, forest, surrounding mountains and hiking trails provide a perfect natural setting to help lower the heart rate and allow the mind to get centered. There are social times built into the day to connect with friends-old or new-if you choose.

The first meal of the day is a talking meal and in the evening there are gatherings to debrief the day or just enjoy the campfire or a volleyball game. But all participation and talking is optional. The four-day retreat costs $260 per person which includes meals and accommodations.
