Panama Partnership Needs Volunteers ASAP

Virginia Baptists need volunteers to go to Panama and serve in the following areas:

October 16th to 21st, 2014 Pastor Families Retreat: this will be our 4th year to serve.

  • Help is needed to lead the Backyard Bible club for children-nursery, pre-school to 5th grade, Youth 6th to 8th & 9th to 12th grades.
  • We also need food preparers and kitchen servers and looking for pastoral leaders for young adults and pastors spouses.
  • A total of 8 to 12 people are needed.
  • Commitment date: ASAP

January 17th to February 21st – Construction

  • Assist First Baptist Pedregal with rebuilding the security wall around the church property.
  • Skills needed are: general laborers, stone masons, brick layers and welding.
  • We will be forming 4 teams for 4 consecutive weeks starting on January 17th. 8 members per team. Gayton Baptist will be the first team going on January 17th to January 25th, 2015.
  • Commitment date: September 30th .

Approximate cost per trip is $1,050 to $1,200 per member depending on flight costs. The earlier we can book flights, the lower the cost.
