Wow! The Virginia Baptist Mission Board wants to congratulate Dr. Kersey and Court Street Baptist Church on this special and unique anniversary!

The Virginian-Pilot wrote a great article about Dr. Kersey. From the article:

To those who know him, Kersey’s long tenure isn’t a surprise.

Don Willhoite came to Court Street Baptist as a preteen and has been a member for 50 years. The choir director and deacon has held several offices during his time at the church and says Kersey leads by example.

“He’s taught that the key to any successful venture is to show up and participate and I’ve watched him do that for decades,” he said. Willhoite says Kersey illustrates his sermons with examples from his own life.

“He’s relatable. His teachings have a personal touch.”

Madison Heights Baptist Church Concludes VBS with Parade

The kids and teachers at Madison Heights Baptist Church sure do know how to end a great Vacation Bible School! They marched up Main Street there in downtown Madison Heights, complete with songs and banners.

The children also raised $351.66 for More Than Nets, which will provide 35 mosquito nets for families in Yendi, Ghana. Way to go, MHBC!
