How Can My Church Become Part of BGAV?
Your church votes to become a cooperating church of the BGAV.
Your church writes a letter to the Executive Director that you have voted to become a cooperating church of the BGAV.
To confirm your participation with BGAV, your church contributes financially to BGAV’s Cooperative Missions budget.
Your church will determine how to distribute your gifts based upon your ministry and missions preferences, and you’ll choose either one of our standard giving plans or customize your own.
What Benefits Will My Church Have as a Cooperating Church?
Depending upon your church’s level of financial contribution to the Virginia portion of the Cooperative Missions budget, available benefits include:
Messengers to the BGAV Annual Meeting, including voting privileges;
Tax-exempt status by being named on BGAV’s group exemption roster for IRS as exempt from federal income tax under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code;
Annuity benefits for church staff
Financial assistance and tools such as capital stewardship campaign services, grants, and low interest rate church loans
Scholarship opportunities for college and ministerial education students
