Job Status: Full Time
Anticipated Time Commitment: 40+ hours per week including Sundays
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field
Experience: Audio/visual/lighting experience, recruiting and training volunteers; experience with church tech team ministry ideal
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Oversee all AVL during worship services and rehearsals for Sanctuary, FAC, Youth, Young Adult, Weekday Preschool, and other FBCA groups.
2.Manage AVL needs for outside events (weddings, funerals, conferences, meetings, etc.)
3.Oversee and research technical needs for creative elements used in services
4.Responsible for all aspects of technical production for FBCA events, including ProPresenter, audio, lighting, broadcast cameras, stage prep, MATV system, and other technical equipment.
5. Manage live streaming, recording, editing, posting, and archiving video for services and events.
6. Coordinate and manage AVL needs for all FBCA ministries

Management
1. Manage budget for technical systems and equipment needs
2. Identify, research, submit, and manage all AVL technology purchases
3. Plan for future AVL technology advancements and needs
4. Maintain inventory and maintenance records for all AVL equipment at FBCA
5. Manage and maintain all media and sound equipment, including repair and/or replacement of faulty equipment
6. Regularly inspect systems and identify areas for improvement
7. Manage use of portable video/sound systems used churchwide and schedule and train operators
8. Create and maintain operation manuals for media equipment and systems documentation for tech ministry.
9. Restock media-related supplies and ensure backup resources are available (batteries, lamps/bulbs for lighting system and projectors, etc.)
Volunteer Management
1. Recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams in the operation of all aspects of AVL
2. Develop training sessions and resources for AVL volunteers
3. Assist volunteer team leads with recruiting, scheduling, and volunteer management
Planning & Coordination
1. Participate in planning and strategy meetings, pre- and post-service evaluations
2. Coordinate with appropriate leaders for technical needs of events including seasonal productions, guest artist concerts, weddings, classes, conferences, and other events
3. Coordinate technical planning for services and events
4. Coordinate and direct stage setup and teardown for all events
5. Document stage setup including audio patching to facilitate teardown and reset
Website and Media Support
1. Provide audio and video support to the FBCA website and communications director and team as required
2. Stream worship services, FBCA events, and other events as required
3. Edit and publish recordings of services and sermons
4. Manage FBCA YouTube channel
5. Manage archive of worship service recordings
6. Maintain and regularly check live streaming equipment
Audio/Visual Production
1. Responsible for recordings of services and other requested events, maintaining the highest level of post-production quality possible
2. Support for video recording, editing & production as needed
3. Design and layout of content used in IMAG / ProPresenter, including background graphics, worship song lyrics, sermon support
4. Edit music and sound effects for in-house video production
Skills/Experience/Qualities
1. Strong organizational and administrative skills
2. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality
3. Experience in worship production, including all duties required to lead a production crew (i.e., switching, graphics, shading, camera operations, audio, lighting, etc.)
4. Understanding of embedded audio signal flow and broadcast video standards
5. Able to program and operate video switcher and lead camera crew through a live production
6. Capable of troubleshooting an HD/SD-SDI broadcast-level video system
7. Understands live IP video streaming technology
8. Understanding of digital workflow for audio and video
9. Applicable IT and computer knowledge with strong working knowledge of Mac & Windows operating systems and applications
10. Proficiency with AVL-related software including ProPresenter, Planning Center, Ross Database, Adobe Creative Suite, ProTools, ChromaQ Vista
11. Proactive self-starter, creative problem solver, team player
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 40 pounds
Comfortable with working at heights, climbing ladders, walking on catwalks, using telescoping lift
