Two Rivers Baptist Church, located in the King George County, VA, is seeking a Bi-vocational pastor to lead our congregation spreading the Word of God. Two Rivers Baptist Church is an active church with approximately sixty active members. We were founded on January 16, 2000 by a small group of 21 believers congregating in temporary facilities. Since then the congregation grew and on the first Sunday in May 2011, Two Rivers Baptist Church conducted its first worship service in its new facility in King George. God is Good! We were led for seventeen years by Pastor Peyton Wiltshire until his recent retirement. We are searching for a bi-vocational pastor to lead Two Rivers as a New Testament Church to engage in a fellowship of worship, witness, education, ministry and application fostering growth of the congregation through community outreach. To be a church whose purpose is to be Christ like in our daily living by emphasizing total commitment of life, personality, and possessions to the Lordship of Christ, and to be a church that ministers unselfishly to persons in the community and world in Jesus’ name. Key Responsibilities • Conduct Sunday church services and special scheduled and unscheduled services. • Conduct a Wednesday Bible study • Chair the church council meetings • Lead church visitation • Lead church evangelism projects • Attend monthly Deacons meetings • Support Special Events • Advise church education programs • Advise church WMU and Baptist Men missions programs • Advise and support church young adult and youth programs Preferred Qualifications • Lead the church to perform its tasks. • Lead the church to engage in a fellowship of worship, witness, education, ministry and application fostering growth of the congregation through community outreach. • Proclaim the gospel to believers and non-believers. • Care for the church’s members and other persons in the community.
